Bright Kids Pre-K3

Our three-year-old classroom is designed to support the developmental milestones of children in the preschool age range.

In this classroom, children are encouraged to explore and learn through play, while building important social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Here are some examples of what you might expect
to see in a typical three-year-old classroom:

  • Cognitive Development: Three-year-olds are developing their cognitive skills rapidly. In the classroom, they may engage in simple counting and sorting activities, recognize colors and shapes, and participate in problem-solving tasks. Teachers encourage language development by reading books, telling stories, and engaging in conversation.

  • Language Development: Three-year-olds are learning new
words and expanding their vocabulary. In the classroom, they
are encouraged to participate in storytelling, sing songs, recite rhymes, and engage in conversations with their teachers and peers. Language-rich environments are essential for children to develop their communication skills.

  • Gross and Fine Motor Skills: Three-year-olds are also developing their gross and fine motor skills. In the classroom, they participate in movement activities such as dancing, running, and jumping, and use manipulatives to develop their fine motor skills through activities such as drawing, coloring, and using scissors.

  • Social and Emotional Development: Three-year-olds are learning to navigate their social world. In the classroom, they are encouraged to take turns, share, and engage in cooperative play. Teachers also work with children to develop their emotional regulation skills, such as identifying and expressing their feelings appropriately.

Overall, our three-year-old classroom provides a nurturing and engaging environment that supports children's growth and development across multiple domains. Teachers in these classrooms are trained to understand the developmental milestones of young children and to provide activities and experiences that promote learning and exploration.
